Expenditure Review
The impact of Covid19 has forced many companies to downsize and reduce expenditure but it has also been a wake-up call for businesses who have come through the crisis relatively unscathed. Now, more than ever it has become crucial to trim the largesse that inevitably develops during buoyant times to ensure the business is fighting fit and lean. This will establish a sound platform upon which to grow into the future. With this review, we will:
- Perform an analytical review of current expenditure and capex levels with prior periods and identify any areas of concern to investigate further
- Work with managers to understand the justifications for abnormal increases in certain expenditure items or where expenditure does not appear to add value to the business
- Review expenditure and delegation of authority policies with managers, to ensure they are understood and are aware of how to apply them. Recommend updates/ changes to policies if required
- Review compliance with internal expenditure controls, policies and approval limits. Test check compliance as required
- Recommend any changes to strengthen processes and controls, including potential technology solutions.
